The Aston Martin DBX 707 is now amongst the world’s most powerful SUVs, only matched in raw power by the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat and the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, which sport 710 and 707 horses, respectively. Those competitors are not usually put in the same class of luxury that Aston Martin is known for, however, so they aren’t the ones Aston Martin is looking to compete with. The DBX 707 will cost over twice as much as the two American muscle SUVs anyways, which should comfortably break the $200k milestone, as the original DBX already starts at $177k. Instead, the DBX 707 is looking to compete with super-SUVs like the Mercedes-AMG G63, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga, and possibly the upcoming Ferrari Purosangue (although Ferrari may price the Purosangue in the same league as the Rolls Royce Cullinan, which is 50-80% more expensive than the aforementioned vehicles.) While the meaningfulness of the value is up to the consumer, these numbers are definitely something to consider, especially when a coveted Mercedes-AMG G63 provides so much for so little when compared to the DBX 707. At that point, it all depends on if the buyer wants an exclusive title to their new SUV, as the 707 badge will definitely be one of the more exclusive ones. Nevertheless, it will be exciting to watch these luxury horsepower battles!
